Spiritual Maturity

As we increase spiritual maturity, our journey of truth seeking begins.  This journey of truth seeking is rewarding, but it is challenging and comes with a price.  Truth is not for the faint-hearted.  With increased spiritual maturity comes increased discernment.  This discernment should be directed to the examination of every aspect of our life.  Each of our beliefs must be scrutinized and reconciled with scripture and the new maturity.  Common concepts and actions of society which were once acceptable to the believer beome unacceptable as maturity increases.  After all, our actions always follow our beliefs.

Areas of life that must be re-evaluated are:

Pagan Religious Practices -

Holidays such as Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc are pagan religious holidays that mainstream christianity has tried to clean up.

Roles of Men and Women -

Failure to lead and failure to follow subverts scripture’s ordained roles and duties. Men are to be the priest and spiritual leader of the family.  They are responsible for the teaching of their wives and children.

Competition -

Striving for preeminence to elevate ourselves over others is contract to the example of Messiah.

Finances -

Serving mammon and incurring dept is opposed in scripture. Using insurance to seek to mitigate all loss is counter to faith.

Employment -

The type of work or business must be consistent with our gifts and talents as we prepare for the Kingdom.  A boss can become another master which can cause the believer to compromise.  And forcing a wife to work for another master can be a form of slavery that her from being her husband’s help mate.

Education -

Fathers cannot contract out to the government, church, village, or spouse the teaching of their children.  Subjecting children to 40 hours a week in an environment that is opposed to scripture, hostile to the Creator, and promotes unrighteous lifestyles practically guarantees they will be worldly not godly.

Dating, Courtship, Marriage -

Short term relationships established by dating are practice for failure.  Youths practice making and breaking relationships quickly and frequently. Unchaperoned teens in today’s hyper-sexed world subject to extreme peer pressure is a prescription for disaster.  Biblical requisites for purity must be maintained for marriage.  Marriage and divorce after knowledge of the truth is adultery..

Entertainment -

Controlling the influences in life is the only way to maintain the purity of  mind.  Discernment must be directed toward movies, internet, television, music, sports., etc.  We must ask not “Is it sin?”, but “Is it Holy?”

Health and Nutrition -

Our bodies are the temple of YHWH.  They should not be polluted with unclean foods, sugar, chemicals, or drugs.   The true believer does not succumb to gluttony, and takes responsibility for maintaining the temple through diet and exercise.  Health care is the individual’s responsibility and  scriptural guidelines for healing are optimal. It should not be delegated to others with potions and knives.

Birth Control and Abortion -

The womb is opened and closed by the Creator.  We try to usurp that power  when we take artificial measures to promote or prevent birth.

Politics -

True believers are aliens and sojourners in this world.  YHWH chooses the kings as HE sees fit.  As we exercise political influence, we may be working counter to our Creator.  Democracy is not YHWH’s way…the lesser of two evils is still evil.

If voting really worked, it would be illegal.

Agriculture -

Each believer has a responsibility of stewardship toward the land, air and water. Extravagance in living adds to pollution and wastes natural resources.  We should shun genetically modified foods and seeds.

Drugs and Terrorism

Recreational drugs, including cocaine and heroin, are responsible for an estimated 10,000-20,000 American deaths per year. While this represents a serious public health problem, it is a “smokescreen” for America’s real drug problem. America’s “war on drugs” is directed at the wrong enemy. It is obvious that interdiction, stiff mandatory sentences, and more vigorous enforcement of drug laws have failed.  The reason is simple. Cause and effect have been reversed.

The desire to solve problems by taking drugs is a product of our culture. When a child is taught by loving parents that the appropriate response to pain or discomfort is taking a pill, it is obvious that such a child, when faced with the challenges of adolescence, will seek comfort by taking drugs.

Drugs are Dangerous Whether Pushed or Prescribed

InjectionWhile approximately 10,000 per year die from the effects of illegal drugs, an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reported that an estimated 106,000 hospitalized patients die each year from drugs which, by medical standards, are properly prescribed and properly administered. More than two million suffer serious side effects.

According to available data, some 106,000 hospitalized patients die each year from drugs that are properly prescribed and properly administered, and side effects kill as many as 198,815 people.

Let me give you an idea of what the medical error and mortality rate of conventional medicine looks like:

  • The recorded error rate of ICU’s is like the post office losing more than 16,000 pieces of mail every hour of every day, or banks deducting 32,000 checks from the wrong bank account every hour, 24/7
  • The recorded medical errors and deaths equate to six jumbo jets falling out of the sky each day, 365 days a year
  • Since 2001, a recorded 490,000 people have died from properly prescribed drugs in the United States, while 2,996 people died on U.S. soil from terrorism, all in the 9/11 attacks; prescription drugs are therefore 16,400 percent more dangerous than terrorism. If deaths from over-the-counter drugs are also included, then drug consumption leaps to being 32,000 percent more dangerous than terrorism. And conventional medicine viewed as a whole is 104,700 percent deadlier than terrorism

The real terrorists are pharmaceutical companies and their minions, doctors, hospitals, the FDA, and lawmakers.

Christians Target of Hate Legislation

A lifetime ban on public criticism of homosexuality was upheld against a Catholic activist in Canada by his province’s superior court.Bill Whatcott was fined 17,500 Canadian dollars by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission in a complaint by four homosexuals who charged he “injured” their “feelings” and “self respect” in pamphlets denouncing the “gay lifestyle” as immoral and dangerous, Lifesite News reported.

Saskatchewan’s Court of Queens Bench, which hears criminal and civil cases, upheld a 2006 decision Tuesday by the provincial Human Rights Commission.

“This fine is for telling the truth [that] homosexual sodomites can change their behavior and be set free from their sin and depravity through the forgiveness of sins and shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Whatcott said.A licensed practical nurse, Whatcott regularly campaigns against the political movement that is rapidly advancing homosexual rights in the Canadian legal system, LifeSiteNews said.

“Shame on the Saskatchewan Court of Queens Bench for pandering to homosexual activism and ignoring the truth,” he said.

The provincial Human Rights Commission noted Whatcott was “ordered to discontinue distributing any materials that promote hatred against people because of their sexual orientation.”

The tribunal held that “preventing the distribution of such materials was a reasonable limit on Whatcott’s right to freedom of religion and expression as guaranteed by Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.”

Whatcott says his pamphlets used “verbatim” a text from a classified personal advertisement in a local homosexual publication that said, “Man seeking boys … age not so relevant.”

LifeSiteNews noted Ottawa Citizen columnist David Warren criticized the tribunals as “kangaroo courts” and “star chambers” with “quasi-legal powers that should be offensive to the citizens of any free country … in which the defendant’s right to due process is withdrawn.”

A petition to Prime Minister Stephen Harper is being circulated calling for abolishment, or at least curtailment, of the powers of the commissions.

Last month, a Canadian political party leader’s posting of a WND article on homosexuality brought him before the country’s Human Rights Commission to face accusations he was motivated by “hate and defamation.”

Ron Gray of the Christian Heritage Party said he was told directly by an employee of the Human Rights Commission that the Canadian Human Rights Act, under which he is being accused, is “about censorship.” Two of the three complaints filed by Edmonton man Rob Wells relate to the posting of an April 2002 WND story titled “Report: Pedophilia more common among ‘gays.’”

The third complaint against Gray is for several commentaries he wrote and distributed to party members. One, titled “Sitcom prophet,” compared the current climate of debate about homosexuality in Canada to the “Cone of Silence” in the 1960s-era television comedy “Get Smart.”

Better Than Cocaine

CokeIntense Sweetness

Surpasses Cocaine Reward

Abstract

Background

Refined sugars (e.g., sucrose, fructose) were absent in the diet of most people until very recently in human history. Today overconsumption of diets rich in sugars contributes together with other factors to drive the current obesity epidemic. Overconsumption of sugar-dense foods or beverages is initially motivated by the pleasure of sweet taste and is often compared to drug addiction. Though there are many biological commonalities between sweetened diets and drugs of abuse, the addictive potential of the former relative to the latter is currently unknown.

Methodology/Principal findings

Here we report that when rats were allowed to choose mutually-exclusively between water sweetened with saccharin–an intense calorie-free sweetener–and intravenous cocaine–a highly addictive and harmful substance–the large majority of animals (94%) preferred the sweet taste of saccharin. The preference for saccharin was not attributable to its unnatural ability to induce sweetness without calories because the same preference was also observed with sucrose, a natural sugar. Finally, the preference for saccharin was not surmountable by increasing doses of cocaine and was observed despite either cocaine intoxication, sensitization or intake escalation–the latter being a hallmark of drug addiction.

Conclusions

Our findings clearly demonstrate that intense sweetness can surpass cocaine reward, even in drug-sensitized and -addicted individuals. We speculate that the addictive potential of intense sweetness results from an inborn hypersensitivity to sweet tastants. In most mammals, including rats and humans, sweet receptors evolved in ancestral environments poor in sugars and are thus not adapted to high concentrations of sweet tastants. The supranormal stimulation of these receptors by sugar-rich diets, such as those now widely available in modern societies, would generate a supranormal reward signal in the brain, with the potential to override self-control mechanisms and thus to lead to addiction.

Violent Radicalization

According to Mike Adams, aka The Health Ranger:  The end of Free Speech in America has arrived at our doorstep. It’s a new law called the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, and it is worded in a clever way that could allow the U.S. government to arrest and incarcerate any individual who speaks out against the Bush Administration, the war on Iraq, the Department of Homeland Security or any government agency (including the FDA). The law has already passed the House on a traitorous vote of 405 to 6, and it is now being considered in the Senate where a vote is imminent. All over the internet, intelligent people who care about freedom are speaking out against this extremely dangerous law: Philip Giraldi at the Huffington Post, Declan McCullagh at CNET’s News.com, Kathryn Smith at OpEdNews.com, and of course Alex Jones at PrisonPlanet.com

This bill is the beginning of the end of Free Speech in America. If it passes, all the information sources you know and trust could be shut down and their authors imprisoned. NewsTarget could be taken offline and I could be arrested as a “terrorist.” Jeff Rense at www.Rense.com could be labeled a “terrorist” and arrested. Byron Richards, Len Horowitz, Paul Craig Roberts, Greg Palast, Ron Paul and even Al Gore could all be arrested, silenced and incarcerated. This is not an exaggeration. It is a literal reading of the law, which you can check yourself here: http://thomas.loc.gov/home/gpoxmlc110/h1955_rfs.xml

The bill states:

‘…ideologically based violence’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual’s political, religious, or social beliefs…

Note that this means the “planned use of force to promote a political or social belief” would be considered an act of terrorism. This all hinges on the definition of “force,” of course. Based on the loose use of logic in Washington these days, and the slippery interpretation of the meaning of words, “force” could mean:• A grassroots campaign to barrage Congress with faxes
• A non-violent street protest
• A letter-writing campaign that deluges the Senate with too much mail
• A sit-in protest that blocks access to a business or organization
• A grassroots e-mail campaign that overloads the e-mail servers of any government department or agency

You get the idea. “Force” could be defined as practically anything. And since the “planned use of force” would be considered a criminal act of terrorism, anyone who simply thinks about a grassroots action campaign would be engaged in terrorist acts.

If you stopped someone on the street and handed them a Bible, for example, this could be considered an act of terrorism (“…use of force to promote the individual’s religious beliefs…”)

If you sent a barrage of angry letters to Washington about global warming and the destruction of the environment by the U.S. military, this could also be considered an act of terrorism (“…to promote the individual’s political beliefs…”)

If you believe in same-sex marriage and you wrote a letter threatning a sit-in protest in front of your state’s capitol building, this could also be considered an act of terrorism, even if you never carried it out! (“…planned use of force to promote a social belief…”)

The United States is on the fast track to fascism, and the Congress is working right alongside this nation’s traitorous leaders to criminalize any thoughts, words or speeches that disagree with current government policies regarding war, terrorism, domestic surveillance and civil liberties. Simply speaking out against the war on Iraq could soon be labeled a crime. Merely thinking thoughts against the war on Iraq could be considered a criminal act.

Shacking Up Kills Kids

Recent studies show the danger that children face when living in a home with an unrelated adult.  Among the findings:

_Children living in households with unrelated adults are nearly 50 times as likely to die of inflicted injuries as children living with two biological parents, according to a study of Missouri abuse reports published in the journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2005.

_Children living in stepfamilies or with single parents are at higher risk of physical or sexual assault than children living with two biological or adoptive parents, according to several studies co-authored by David Finkelhor, director of the University of New Hampshire’s Crimes Against Children Research Center.

_Girls whose parents divorce are at significantly higher risk of sexual assault, whether they live with their mother or their father, according to research by Robin Wilson, a family law professor at Washington and Lee University.

“All the emphasis on family autonomy and privacy shields the families from investigators, so we don’t respond until it’s too late,” Wilson said. “I hate the fact that something dangerous for children doesn’t get responded to because we’re afraid of judging someone’s lifestyle.”

Census data leaves no doubt that family patterns have changed dramatically in recent decades as cohabitation and single-parenthood became common. Thirty years ago, nearly 80 percent of America’s children lived with both parents. Now, only two-thirds of them do. Of all families with children, nearly 29 percent are now one-parent families, up from 17 percent in 1977.

The net result is a sharp increase in households with a potential for instability, and the likelihood that adults and children will reside in them who have no biological tie to each other.

This trend will continue when curriculum which honors immoral disregard of the family, denial of the necessity of a man and a woman in a marraige, selfish focus, victim status, and the acceptances of non-comittal lifestyles continue to be the goal of the public schools.
